Regional Sustainability Program
Join the JRGBC for the culmination of our year-long luncheon series: Regional Sustainability! This program will explore sustainability on a regional level in many of its components: energy efficiency, watershed issues, urban planning and transportation.

Keynote Speaker Steve Walz,  Senior Advisor for Energy Policy for Governor Kaine, will kick-off the event by addressing the current state of energy matters for the Commonwealth, to be followed by a panel discussion with subject-matter experts who will engage in conversations with one another and answer questions from the audience.

Sandra Leibowitz Earley of Sustainable Design Consulting will moderate the panel, to include: 

  • Jacek Ghosh, VCU Director of Sustainability
  • Sheila Sheppard, Partnership for Smarter Growth
  • Chris French, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay
  • Steve Walz, Senior Advisor for Energy Policy for Governor Kaine

Membership Meeting and Social
Following this event will be the JRGBC end-of-year Membershp Meeting and Social, held at the same location. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with colleagues and network, while learning more about JRGBC Volunteer Opportunities and enjoying heavy hors d’ouevres and cocktails!

Registration Information

Both events will be held at  the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N 3rd St, Richmond, VA 23219-1705  Registration in advance to both events is required. Both events require separate registration.

The Regional Sustainability Program will take place from 3-5:30 p.m. Registration is $15 for JRGBC Members, $25 for non-members, and $10 for students enrolled in an accredited degree program and unemployed individuals. Registration includes access to the program and light snacks.

The Membership Meeting and Social will take place from 6-8 p.m. Registration is $5 for JRGBC members and $10 for non-members, and includes access to the event and heavy hors d’ouevres. A cash bar will be provided.

Individuals who register to attend both events will receive one complimentary beverage!
