LEED EXAMS
Commercial Interiors, Existing Buildings, and New Buildings' exams . In addition to being able to choose from three exam tracks, exam candidates and existing LEED APs can now create "Accreditation Profiles" via the USGBC LEED AP website, which allows them to schedule and register for the exam(s) online; manage their accreditation records; and view exam results.

LEED Optimize Energy Performance, Mandatory Point Minimum Approved by USGBC Membership

Re-Nature By Design Symposium

GreenDrinks, Community Garden Episode, July 19th
Green Drinks is a simple and unstructured event where people interested in sustainability can get together to meet others, network, talk shop, learn something new, share something innovative or maybe even find a job!
This month we'll meet at The Camel (http://www.thecamel.org/) on Broad Street. Sierra Club TV 'Rats to Roses' community garden episode will be showing at 7pm with people starting to gather around 5:30pm. Chapter Growth Consultant Position Open
USGBC is seeking a consultant to assist with the growth of our chapters. Specifically, this project will entail helping approximately five chapters meet certain standards relating to capacity and effectiveness. This hands-on project will focus on membership processes, customer service and internal chapter communication. In addition, the consultant will assist one Regional Council with projects such as coordinating meeting logistics, developing minutes and enhancing communication.

Virginia Rep. Rick Boucher Drafts energy efficiency legislation
Rep. Rick Boucher (D-VA), Chairman of the House Energy & Air Quality Committee, has released a Discussion Draft of energy efficiency legislation. The draft bill addresses a wide range of energy efficiency issues including, among other things, equipment standards (lighting, HVAC, motors, appliances), building standards/codes, a proposed revolving fund to enhance public institutions' energy performance, and industrial energy efficiency.
