Everyone should park on the second floor Parking Deck and walk across the bridge to meet as a group in the Lobby at 5:30pm. We will then proceed to the Cafeteria for a 10-15 minute PowerPoint presentation. From there, we will split up for tours of the headquarters and end back up at the Parking Deck where we will depart for a Social Hour (details to follow soon).

From Downtown, West End, Northside:
Take I-64 West to Route 288 South
From Southside:
Take Route 288 North towards Goochland
Exit Route 288 at Tuckahoe Creek Parkway West (Route 740)
Bear to the right at the exit and turn right at the CarMax sign into the Home Office Campus (Carmax Way)
Parking Deck is on the right – visitor parking is on the second level
Proceed to Level 1 of Parking Deck and walk across the bridge to the office building entrance and lobby

Mr. Clark is currently the Edmund Shurman Campbell Professor of Architecture at the University of Virginia. He has been widely published and is the subject of Richard Jensen's book, Clark and Menefee. He was included in “40 under 40” by the Architectural League of New York and twice listed in Time magazine as one of America's best designers. His work has received three National Design awards from the American Institute of Architects: Middleton Inn, Reid House and Croffead House.
W.G. Clark Associates is currently designing two residences, and adaptive reuse of a manufacturing plant as apartments, and an addition to the University of Virginia School of Architecture. For a view of some of Mr. Clark's most recent works, click here:

Thomas Jefferson's historic State Capitol Building is currently undergoing the most significant restoration and renovation if it's 220 plus year existence. This $86 million project will provide the legislature with a modern facility, in the context of America's most historic statehouse. Tour the capitol building and the recently renovated Patrick Henry Building (old State Library) with representatives of the Va Dept of General Services. Greening the Heartland

Builders, Exhibitor set-up, Registration and an opening reception in the Exhibit Hall with the opening plenary speaker.
Thursday, May 18th: The full-day Conference begins with a continental breakfast in the Exhibit Hall, and continues with general and breakout sessions and lunch in the Exhibit Hall. The conference breakout sessions will be organized into tracks by building type. The tracks include: Commercial, Government, Residential, Schools and Institutional. Friday, May 19th: features full and half-day LEED training workshops. The Call for Presentations will be released in mid-December with a deadline for presentation abstracts of January 15, 2006. Proposed Standard 189
The USGBC; the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) have agreed to co-sponsor the development of a new ASHRAE/USGBC/IESNA minimum standard for high performance green building - Proposed Standard 189, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.
