LEED Exams
Commercial Interiors, Existing Buildings, and New Buildings' exams . In addition to being able to choose from three exam tracks, exam candidates and existing LEED APs can now create "Accreditation Profiles" via the USGBC LEED AP website, which allows them to schedule and register for the exam(s) online; manage their accreditation records; and view exam results.

Green Drinks for January 17th 
Green Drinks will be at The Camel (on Broad across from Lowe's) on Thursday evening January 17th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Committees of the JRGBC are gearing up for a very busy and productive 2008. We'll have most of our 2008 committee leaders available at Green Drinks.

The newly formed Committee on the Environment(COTE) of the Richmond AIA will be introducing themselves at Green Drinks as well. COTE will be following up with the City and its Architect Members to assist them in meeting the 2030 Challenge.  So come out to fill yourself full ...

Help the House pass bill NO. 239. Provides that energy-efficient buildings that meet performance guidelines or standards under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, EarthCraft House program, or Energy Star program may be classified as a separate class of real property for tax purposes. Certification of energy-efficiency would be determined by a certification issued under any one of the programs or a determination by an engineer designated by the locality that the building meets or exceeds the performance guidelines or standards under any one of the three programs.Under current law, buildings that exceed the energy efficiency standards prescribed in the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code by at least 30 percent are deemed energy-efficient buildings, and the certification of energy efficiency is performed by an engineer or contractor that is not related to the taxpayer.
