Questions and Answers

1. Does the 10 page limit include the 3-page application form? THE 10-PAGE LIMIT INCLUDES THE 3 PAGE APPLICATION FORM. MINOR REFORMATS OF THE APPLICATION FORM WILL BE ACCEPTABLE, SO LONG AS ALL OF THE QUESTIONS IN THE APPLICATION FORM ARE CLEARLY ADDRESSED.

2. The maximum page size given fro graphics is larger than that given for text--is it acceptable to use the larger page size for a layout that is predominantly graphic, but includes some text? YES

3. The headings given for theproject description are a little confusing. I'm unclear on how the question under "Objectives" differs from the question under "Project Summary." Also, is the 500 word limit for both parts, or just for the Project Summary?THE PROJECT SUMMARY SHOULD PAINT A BROAD BRUSH OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT, SO THAT THE APPLICATION REVIEWERS CAN PUT THE APPLICATION INTO A BROADER CONTEXT. THE WORD LIMIT FOR THE SUMMARY IS 500. THE OBJECTIVES SHOULD BE A MORE DETAILED EXPLANATION OF EXACTLY WHAT MEASURABLE AND DOCUMENTABLE GOALS WILL BE ATTAINED AND HOW THEY WILL BE ATTAINED. NO WORD LIMIT IS SET FOR THIS SECTION

4. The project I'm submitting has a great number of partners--Is it ok to append the list on a seperate sheet of paper if they don't all fit in the space given? If the application form does not count toward our 10 page limit, will the appended page count toward that limit? In general do you prefer that questions are filled into teh form as it is formatted, or is it ok to answer them on a seperate sheet? IF THE NUMBER OF PARTNERS DO NOT FIT IN THE SPACE ALLOTTED, IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO LIST THE PARTNERS ON A SEPARATE APPENDIX SHEET. IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE, THE 1 PAGE APPENDIX WILL NOT BE COUNTED TOWARDS THE 10 PAGE LIMIT.
