Chris will present an overview of the issues in green building and the LEED® Rating System that apply to site design, including regional issues, costs and financial benefits, innovative vs. conventional stormwater management approaches, green roofs and other low-impact development strategies and case studies illustrating these techniques.
Chris Earley combines years of engineering design experience with a deep commitment to sustainable development though project management, community outreach and a focus on sustainable infrastructure. Chris is founder and principal of Greening Urban LLC. He is the current Chair of the City of Richmond Green Building Advisory Commission, a Board Member of the James River Green Building Council, and a Board Member of the Virginia Downtown Development Association. Chris presents frequently on green civil engineering and site design to architects, engineers and developers and serves an advocate for environmentally sensitive engineering and related subjects. As a LEED® Accredited Professional, he has also consulted on Sustainable Sites criteria for many green building and development projects.
